What a time we have had during this past 10 days or so. The bug which OH had decided to decend upon us all. It has been most horrid to say the least.
In the early hours of last Saturday morning I was in the bathroom and sods law being what it is. the bathroom light blew. Well having a nasty bug was one thing but being plunged into darkness with it was getting low.
We have ate very little and in my case not drank nearly enough so are all rather weak. I cant remember when I last ate chocolate, but something tells me that this is only a temporaly thing.
We did our first proper shop since christmas this week!

On a lighter note Daughter and I some how manged the energy to takle New Look sales. A very good time of bonding and money well spent . We bought a bit but saved a fortune. Women can understand this. I so love this shop.

I had bought a value iron in tescos and really it took me a while before I managed to try it and much as son complained at less than £4 it couldn't be up to much, I cant fault it. It is lighweight which suits me but would not suit everyone and irons ok so I am more than happy with it. It will be interesting to se does it last as longas an expensive one.

hope I am feeling much better soon C xxxxxxxx

A busy start

oh felt sick all night, so this morning he has only ventured between bathroom and the bedroom, feeling awful and very sorry for himself.
Son went to farm and sick cow, vet required asap. I dont drive we have three cars and I had to phone someone to take daughter to school!
Several other urgent phone calls copious ammounts of hot water needed, and all before 8:30 am.
Feel somewhat lost as normal routine as been knocked out.
I always like to read the paper first thing, but today goodness knows when we will get it let alone get it read.
The joys of not been able to drive and living in the coutry with no bus service.

Met up with a friend at a funeral yesterday, funny how funerals are one of those places you meet folk you rarely see except at funerals. We did a bit of catching up but really need to meet and have a chat, but we have been doing that for ages............

Today is D day the day that most couples file for divorce apparently. I can understand why! I wonder what happened to the couple we used to be who first got married Still after 21 years there are bound to be changes.

I have finally took down the christmas decorations for another year. The place looks so bare. I then did some light cleaning. (nothing to heavy on it) I felt energetic so steam cleaned a duvet, that had something spilled on it.

I do so hope this year starts looking up soon.

Saturday 3 January 2009

the christmas tree is still up. I cant reach it to start taking it down. Have asked for help, but....the kids are out and hubby is busy. So my tree remains. I wont take it down tomorrow as it is Sunday which is sacred.
Perhaps I just should keep it up all year!
Ironing done and just a last minute tidy up to do and feed the cat.

love C
Not a good start to the new year.
Jan the 1ist I was so ill all day yesterday marginally better. Today yes well I get aggro on the phone to put it mildly and know there is more to come.
I wonder if this is pick on Carole year and no one minded to tell me.

Friday 2 January 2009

Christmas came and christmas went.We survived and watched everyone panic, having done most of the shopping months ago. Just as well as flu, decided to decend upon us. .Just as we get over it the nasty virus doing the rounds starts again.
Christmas was most enjoyable and relaxing with some pretty nice gifts and an awful one from someone who never gets it right!
Lots of books to read at the moment and am working my way through them, trying to list them as I read them.
This is what I call enjoyment reading my way through some great books with no awful tv to distract or annoy me.

Cheers PP

Sunday

Well got ff to a bad start when I got up at the crack of dawn to check the results of Strictly Come Dancing. It was not good at all.
The electric then kept blowing the trip dpwnstairs which meant problems with breakfast. It was a very cold frosty morning and the roads so slippery. We all went off to church, where so many folk seemed to be ill!
Dont think I have ever warmed all day. Called at a friend's late afternoon, had not seen her for ages. Funny how the fast way we live lets friendships get knocked aside. We had so much to catch up on.
Daughter made tea, bless her, then another friend rang and we chatted for ages.
I am curled up in front of an open fire with a nasty touch of pmt debating wether I should watch SCD or not.
I feel so sorry for hubby and son out on the farm in this awful weather.

so long for now.
